My story
It started with my own back
My journey with the body started young. I was 13 when I ruptured the intervertebral muscles between L4 and L5, my two lowest lumbar vertebrae. That was my first honest experience of what an injury does to a body.
The treatment plan took my summer: three appointments a week, an hour and a half a session, for three and a half months. Most injuries get twice a week for thirty minutes. I was there a lot.
Somewhere in all those hours the lightbulb went on. I promised myself I would never work behind a desk, and that I would spend my life helping people heal the way my physical therapists helped me.
So I studied. A Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, then massage therapy school. I skipped my massage school graduation to start yoga teacher training, and finished that with a Reiki Master Teacher certification.
I landed in Seattle in May 2015 after living and working in a wellness office in upstate New York. Once my license transferred to Washington I joined a company that was, essentially, rideshare for in-home massage. Wild, I know. It is also where I met the mentor who shaped the therapist I am today.
My practice runs on unconditional love, intuition and connection. I look at bodies and the way they move in a way most people do not, and I keep learning new methods so I can treat the aches and pains of living now.
Thank you for being the best part of the work I do. Without you, my client, there is no ripple effect of healing.
